June is Pride Month

Pride Month is an annual celebration that takes place in June to honor and support the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning) community. It is a time for individuals and communities to recognize and embrace the diversity and contributions of LGBTQ+ people, as well as to promote equality, self-acceptance, and visibility.

Pride Month has its roots in the LGBTQ+ rights movement, specifically the Stonewall Uprising that occurred in June 1969 in New York City. The Stonewall Uprising was a series of protests by members of the LGBTQ+ community against police raids and harassment at the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar. The event is considered a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights in the United States.

Since then, Pride Month has expanded into a global movement with various activities and events, including parades, marches, rallies, parties, workshops, and educational programs. These events aim to promote LGBTQ+ rights, raise awareness of issues affecting the community, and foster a sense of community and pride among LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies.

Pride Month serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance faced by the LGBTQ+ community, while also celebrating the progress that has been made. It is a time to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, challenge discrimination and prejudice, and create a more inclusive and accepting society for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Satori Laser is committed to equality and the LGBTQ+ community rights, we are a safe and welcoming place for everybody regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We stand against discrimination. We assist individuals with the part of their process that involves removing hair in crucial body areas before having gender affirmation surgery, we have gender neutral restrooms and prices. We want to thank the LGBTQ+ community for their trust through out the years.
