Laser hair removal

Looking for the right laser center can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be. Satori Laser has the most affordable laser hair removal services the Tristate area has to offer. Because we are the largest buyer of Candela lasers, we are able to buy in bulk and pass the savings on to you. Our affordable prices, coupled with our modern technology and certified laser technicians, ensures you’ll see consistent and excellent results every time you come in.

Laser hair removal is permanent hair reduction. Most can expect to see a 75% to 95% reduction in hair growth after a series of recommended sessions. Ideal candidates can reach close to 99% reduction. While our lasers permanently reduce hair growth, future hormonal changes may cause some new hair growth to occur. We offer touch ups at customize prices should new hair growth appear.

More cost effective

Laser hair removal may seem expensive initially. However, ultimately it is more cost effective than other conventional hair removal methods. Razors and waxing add up, the hair always grows back. You may suffer from ingrown hair or razor burn. With laser hair removal, you’ll see a drastic reduction in ingrown hair and never suffer from razor burn or stubble again.

Treatable areas

All areas of the body are treatable so long as your hair is darker than your skin tone. The only exception are eyebrows, as they are too close to the eyes for you to receive safe treatment. Tattooed areas also cannot receive treatment. Grey, white hair is untreatable.

How many sessions do I need?

All areas require a minimum of 6 sessions to start. Sessions are generally 4 to 5 weeks apart depending on the area to be treated. Hormonal areas will need additional sessions. How many sessions you require will depend on the amount of hair, hair color, your genetic background and how closely you follow the schedule set by your technician. For complete removal, you will most likely need more than 6 sessions.

Why are my results different from others?

Results and the number of sessions you need depend on the contrast of your skin and hair color, your ethnic background and your hormones.

What does it feel like?

Laser hair removal can cause mild to moderate discomfort. Treatment feels like a rubber band snapping against the skin, followed by a cooling sensation. You may feel like you have a light sunburn for 1 to 2 hours after treatment.

All of our lasers come equipped with the cryogen cooling system to ensure client comfort. Cryogen emits a pulse of frozen air of -15 degrees Fahrenheit to combat the heat of the laser. Most clients find treatment very tolerable. For our most sensitive clients we offer numbing cream by the application or by the tube.

FAQ

Before Treatment

In order to achieve the best results we ask that you refrain from self-tanners, tanning beds and sun exposure. Failure to do so may result in scarring, hyper pigmentation and burn. This could lead to the possibility of permanent side effects.

Additionally, we ask that you don’t wax, tweeze, bleach or use depilatory creams 2 weeks prior to treatment. Using these hair removal methods will make the laser ineffective and you will not see the results you are looking for. You may shave as much as you like. This is the only form of hair removal that you can do during treatment and still achieve good results.

We also ask you to inform us if you have been taking antibiotics. We cannot perform treatment until 2 weeks after your last dose. Antibiotics increase your photosensitivity to the laser and put you at risk for side effects.

Before coming in we ask that you shave the area to be treated, with the exception of women having treatment to the face. The area should be cleaned beforehand. Deodorants, lotions and cosmetics should be completely removed before receiving treatment.

Aftercare

Experiencing redness and or bumps immediately after treatment is normal and usually subsides within 2 hours after your session.

Apply aloe Vera gel immediately after treatment. You can reapply as needed.

You should avoid deodorants, cosmetics and any harsh acne products for 24 hours after treatment. Sun exposure, vigorous exercise, hot water or anything that elevates your body temperature should also be avoided. Though, you may exercise before you come in. Treat your skin as gently as possible.

UV sun protection should be applied to exposed areas. Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible for 2 weeks after your treatment.

1 to 2 weeks later you will notice that you will begin to shed hair from the treated area. You should exfoliate the area to help along the shedding process.
