eMatrix Sublative Rejuvenation

What is eMatrix Fractional Sublative Rejuvenation?

The eMatrix approach is a totally new type of fractional skin resurfacing approach. The eMatrix device delivers sublative rejuvenation that can significantly improve the signs of aging and treat acne scars. It can also be safe in darker skin types. We are using the eMatrix to treat wrinkles, various kinds of scars including acne scarring, superficial skin lesions, brown spots and some stretch marks.

How does eMatrix fractional Sublative Rejuvenation work?

eMatrix delivers fractionated bi-polar radio frequency energy, making it an entirely distinctive cosmetic way to treat the skin. This energy keeps the top layer of the skin whole, producing a majority of the heat below the skin. The process maximizes collagen production. Healthy skin, around the fractionated area where the energy is delivered, accelerates the healing process, smoothing out imperfections in the skin. In fact, our recent research, presented at the 2011 American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery meeting shows that this unique technology may be among the safest to treat darker skin types.

Why choose eMatrix Sublative Rejuvenation?

eMatrix Sublative Rejuvenation can be effective for the treatment of:

  • Acne Scarring
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damage
  • Textural irregularities
  • Stretch marks

How long will it take to heal?

After the treatment, a pink or red “sunburn” appearance and feeling is common. This appearance and sensation generally resolves within a 24-72 hours. Moisturizers may be applied several hours after each treatment and then should be applied regularly during the course of treatment. The treated patient should use a high-factor sunscreen (at least 30 SPF) and keep the area protected.

Is the procedure painful?

Before the treatment, a topical anesthetic may be used to numb the area. During the treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation on their skin. Topical anesthetic ointments and cooling are used to reduce skin sensation during treatment. After the treatment, a pink or “sunburn” appearance and feeling is also common.

How soon will I see results?

Typical treatment protocols include 3 or more treatment sessions, 4-6 weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on your skin’s condition.

Acne scars start showing a reduction after a 3rd eMatrix treatment.

What Are The Side Effects?

As with any surgical procedure, there are risks associated with e-Matrix Sublative Rejuvenation. Your physician will review with you in detail any risks involved in the procedure.

How Do I Get Started?

The first step in discovering if the eMatrix treatment is right for you is scheduling a consultation with our physicians or physician assistants. Your skin will be thoroughly evaluated and a treatment plan will be prescribed.
