The Metrosexuals Guide to Laser Hair Removal
The Metrosexuals Guide to Laser Hair Removal
As we entered the new millennium, a new kind of male emerged and he’s called a Metrosexual. While our Dad’s are still shaving with any old razor blade and using Old Spice, the metrosexual male wants his turn at the spa too. He’s still a man’s man, but he does realize that the unibrow is not cute … and really never was.
Laser hair removal technology has come a long way, and men are starting to take advantage of these new options in hair removal for the face and body.
Chest Hair
Who knows a guy who doesn’t shave his chest hair anymore? I don’t. Laser hair removal can permanently remove any unwanted chest and body hair. Waxing can be very painful and chest hair, that has grown back after shaving, can be itchy and uncomfortable. Up to 12-14 laser hair removal treatments may be needed to permanently remove chest hair. However, the result will be a smooth chest that is free of any chest hair for good.
Chin and Beard
Some guys have to shave more than others. Some men only have to shave a few times a week and I have heard of cases where a guy has to shave twice a day to control his every growing beard. Shaving can cause skin irritations such as blade cuts, ingrown hairs, irritated skin or breakouts. All of the former reasons are why some men are opting for laser hair removal for their beard. You should consult with a licensed dermatologist on how many treatments may be needed.
The Unibrow
No one likes the dreaded unibrow and all of us know at least one guy who trims his while he’s shaving. Metrosexuals have been getting waxed for a while now to control their eyebrows, but laser hair removal can be a permanent solution that may well be worth the cost in the long run.
Back Hair
This one is almost self-explanatory. If you happen to look like Sasquatch from the back, then you have run enough ladies off already in this life time. Isn’t it time you take control of your love life again? Shaving your own back is pretty impossible and waxing is painful. Don’t let your girlfriend tell you “you will get used to it”… No, you won’t. With a couple of treatments of laser hair removal, you can rid your body of unwanted back hair.
Botox
Botox is a little off topic, but I felt it made sense for this article. A series of small Botox injections, under the armpit, can control heavy perspiration. Sometimes an underarm deodorant isn’t enough to control heavy sweating which can also be embarrassing and annoying. It’s also a turn off for women. Consult with a licensed physician on this procedure. Results can last up to 8 months.
More and more men are looking to pamper themselves with quality and natural products these days. If you are considering this, but not sure where to begin, look for some of the following ingredients when choosing toiletries: Witch Hazel, Cocoa Butter, Lavender, Aloe Vera, Honey, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Kelp. There are many more natural ingredients to look for, but these should be enough to get you started.
