Let’s be real, laser hair removal can feel kind of personal, especially if you’re thinking about treating areas that don’t usually see the light of day (hello, Brazilian ).
You’ve probably got questions... the kind you don’t want to say out loud. And guess what?
You’re not alone and you’re not weird.
We get these kinds of questions all the time, and trust us when we say: nothing surprises us anymore. We're professionals, and our #1 job is to make you feel comfortable, respected, and totally at ease. So let’s clear the air:
1. Do I have to be completely naked during treatment?
Not at all. You'll only need to uncover the area being treated and we’re pros at draping towels and positioning you so you’re comfortable and covered. You’re never just left exposed. And if you're ever unsure or nervous, you can tell us we’ll walk you through every step.
Pro tip: If it’s your first time, wear loose, comfy clothing — you’ll thank us later.
2. What if I didn’t shave properly before my appointment?
It happens! We recommend shaving the day before (not right before) to avoid skin irritation. If you missed a patch or couldn’t reach a tricky area, don’t stress — we’ll take care of it before starting the session.
Heads up: Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading — we need the follicle in place for the laser to do its job!
3. Can I still come in if I’m on my period?
Yes, you totally can. Just wear a tampon or menstrual cup if you're having a bikini or Brazilian area treated. If you feel more sensitive during your cycle, we can reschedule but there’s absolutely no pressure.
Fun fact: A lot of clients actually stick to their laser schedules during their period it’s NBD to us.
4. What if I get aroused during treatment? Is that normal?
Totally normal and more common than people think. Laser treatments stimulate nerve endings, and your body might react involuntarily. It’s just a biological response. No awkwardness here our focus is 100% on your treatment and making you feel at ease.
5. Does laser hair removal smell... weird?
During the session, you might notice a faint burnt hair smell kind of like singed toast. That’s just the hair being vaporized, and it’s totally normal. The smell doesn’t linger, and we keep things fresh and ventilated.
6. Is it weird to laser my bum or between the cheeks?
Not even close. These are some of the most common areas we treat, and we’ve done it hundreds (if not thousands!) of times. We’ve got this down to a science quick, comfortable, and 100% judgement-free.
Bonus: Many clients say this area is actually easier than underarms or upper lip.
7. Can I get laser if I have acne, ingrown hairs, or skin tags?
Yes, and in many cases, laser can actually improve your skin by reducing irritation and ingrowns. We’ll assess your skin before we start and adjust settings to make sure everything is safe and effective.
Note: Let us know about any active infections, rashes, or medications like Accutane before we treat you.
8. What if I have tattoos or piercings in the area?
No problem. Tattoos will be carefully avoided and covered (lasers can’t go over ink). Piercings can be temporarily removed during treatment. We’ll work around them safely, no worries at all.
9. Is laser really safe for down there?
Yes, when performed by certified professionals using medical-grade lasers, it’s completely safe. We use the right settings for your skin tone and hair type to make sure everything is effective and comfortable.
PS: It’s one of our most-requested treatments — and often one of the quickest to see results!
10. Do people ever cancel because they’re embarrassed?
Occasionally, yes — and we totally understand. But once someone gets through their first session, they usually say, “That wasn’t bad at all.” Our team is professional, kind, and easy to talk to. No shame, no awkwardness, just support, smooth skin, and serious glow-up energy.
Bonus: Still got questions?
You can always email us, call us, or drop in for a no-pressure consult. We’re happy to chat, answer anything (yes, anything), and help you decide what’s best for you.
